Andrew Grams, Conductor, and The Elgin Symphony Orchestra features Elgar's Enigma Variations.

Andrew Grams and the ESO demystify the creative process, exploring musical masterworks at this fun and casual event. Grams will use musical excerpts to analyze Elgar's Enigma Variations. Each of the variations depicts one of the composer's friends or family members, and even a dog! After intermission, the ESO performs the entire work, with the audience experiencing a deeper connection to the music.

For over 65 years, the sweet sound of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra has delighted area music lovers. As a premier regional orchestra, the group attracts listeners from over 100 communities. The Elgin Symphony Orchestra has won the Illinois Professional Orchestra of the Year award an unprecedented four times - including 2016.

The Orchestra`s season includes over 50 concerts annually (Classics, Pops, Educational Programming, and Holiday performances) at the 1,200-seat Hemmens Theatre in Elgin and the 440-seat Prairie Arts Center in Schaumburg.
