Michael Christie, guest conductor and music director of the Minnesota Opera, makes his ESO debut as the orchestra plays three distinctly different works. The Brahms Symphony is described as "tranquil and peaceful, ending with a triumphant mood!" Enjoy music from Korngold's Much Ado About Nothing Suite, making one feel that "a star danced, and under that I was born." Korngold's expressive orchestration with vibrant and broad motifs is demonstrated here as a superb match for Shakespeare's modern "battle of the sexes."
